Digital X-Rays
DIGITAL X-RAYS BY KODAK - Dental X-rays have entered the digital age. Dental images are now taken digitally using an electronic sensor. The image is immediately displayed on a computer screen to be ready for diagnosis. X-ray film is no longer used and the radiation is reduced to less than half of what it was conventionally. The image can be enlarged for more precise diagnosis and enhanced with many tools to more accurately diagnose dental decay, tooth fractures, infections, anatomical anomalies, measurement of tooth and bone structures. The Kodak digital imaging system also has a program called logicon which performs a tooth density analysis to accurately diagnose tooth decay. This analysis can detect tooth decay that would never be able to be diagnosed using conventional dental x-rays.
